Hot news out of Edinburgh - at a swanky affair in Scotland’s finest city last night, my Holiday programme Mills and Boon writing course film won the prestigious Silver Thistle broadcast award. So it’s official, I am now ‘award-winning broadcaster Charlie Connelly’ and, by crikey, I intend to milk it for all it’s worth.
